Danielle - VP Marketing

Danielle has grown up with the Internet, technology and GetOn.com Marketing. She has been officially working at the Company as an Internet Marketing Consultant and Project Manager since 2008 and is fantastic at ensuring all ends are tied, no steps are missed and clients are fully satisfied. She knows where everyone is at, where everything is and can help you find what you are looking for in seconds.
She knows the answers to "What the heck is SEO?" and "So, how much is this going to cost me?" because she gets asked those questions on a daily basis. Her answer is simple. The rewards from an awesome website, the growth in traffic and conversions, and the increases that come as website ranking and traffic increases is well worth the cost. In other words, "what will it cost you if you don't do it?". She loves educating clients on SEO, Social Marketing and general Internet Marketing and enjoys helping to demystify the Industry and translate the technical jargon into English.
She's a good multitasker. She can do a lot of everything (at the same time!) but still manages to do it all really, really well. Ask her to stand on one foot, pat her head and rub her belly, and you will see what we mean!
Danielle enjoys supporting her two favourite organizations, Canadian Women for Women in Afghanistan and Little Women for Little Women in Afghanistan, where she sits on the board of directors. She recently made the big switch from Blackberry to iPhone and is now a happy iPhone user for life. Anita is an SEO-purist. She's been providing Search Engine Optimization and Internet Marketing services since 2000 and knows what works and what doesn't. She ensures that every Internet Marketing Plan incorporates good-old-fashioned SEO. But she's not afraid of new technology either. In fact, she keeps her Internet-savvy team on their toes because she's constantly reading (and sharing) industry-specific articles so that everyone stays up-to-date in this ever-changing industry.
Anita likes to dig. She'll dig through statistics, logs, sitemaps, code, content, search results, her garden, you name it. And it is all in an effort to help clients reach their Internet Marketing goals.
Anita understands that Internet Marketing is ever-changing and requires many complex tasks. The industry is plagued by misinformation, exaggerations and statistics based on USA markets, which is widely different from Canadian Internet Marketing. She finds it so rewarding to work with loyal clients as they patiently wait for our methods and recommendations to take their full effect, and then realizing monthly increases in qualified website traffic and conversions.
Anita loves making something out of nothing. She enjoys restoring old furniture and working on home improvements both inside and out. She loves plants and flowers, especially wild flowers. She has a great appreciation for the beauty of nature and experiences the healing affects of nature during her daily walks through her neighbourhood. She enjoys spending time with her daughter, Kaitlyn and loves to watch her play soccer and to support her in her education and daily activities.

The first time Michelle went online was in 1996. She was helping a company write content for their website before she even really knew what a website was. Oh how the Internet has changed!
She fully embraces the growth of the Internet, loves new technology and believes in the power of social media. But she hasn't forgotten her roots. She firmly believes in good content that is regularly updated. And good keywords. And well-written TDKs. And good headings. And good taglines. And good calls to action. She encourages clients to take advantage of new technology applications that will help their business generate qualified traffic, leads and conversions but makes sure that the tried-and-true standards of good SEO are not lost along the way.
Michelle has been working in the Internet industry since 2000 and has been a part of the GetOn.com team since 2005. Her favorite part of the job is brainstorming with her co-workers and then watching as our methods, plans and actions result in improved traffic and conversions for our clients.
When Michelle's not working she's likely driving her kids to various activities, reading, writing, catching up on television, spending time with her family, walking the dog and traveling to sunny destinations. She's an iPhone user and plays Angry Birds, Shazams songs on the radio, and searches for local businesses on her phone at least once a day.
Her dirty little secret is that for all the technology at her fingertips (computer, laptop, netbook, iPhone, iPad, Kindle) she still loves the feeling of pen on paper ...

Jon - Graphic Designer

Jon loves coffee. Give Jon caffeine and his creative juices start flowing. In fact, one of his favorite parts of the job is the free coffee! Or is it drinking coffee while working on exciting projects with a knowledgeable team? Either way, Jon is the creative mastermind at GetOn.com and has been working in the design industry for over six years.
Jon loves that every day brings new things to do and enjoys the accolades when he has designed something that people love. But he's more than just a graphic designer. He is an expert in all of GetOn.com's projects and is often a go-to guy when it comes to solving problems or helping out our clients. He's most often asked "How do you do this?" And "this" can be anything from changing the colour of font to creating a complex table within a page.
When Jon is not working he enjoys mountain biking, snowboarding, digital abstract art, movies and computer gaming.
Like almost everyone else in the office, Jon is an iPhone user.
Alfred - Web System Developer
Bachelor of Computer Science / Diploma in Computer Studies / Diploma in Multimedia / Oracle(OCA)
Alfred has been working in the computing and Information technology industry for over six years. He enjoys the office camraderie and his fellow employees regularly ask him "when did you go to bed?" Is he our resident night owl or our resident early-to-bed employee? You be the judge! Either way, he is always eager to learn new things and enjoys working with new technologies and different web systems.
Alfred loves the challenge that comes with his work and enjoys that while he is working he is constantly improving his knowledge base and skills.
When Alfred is not working he spends his free time studying new computer languages, watching movies, snowboarding, doing the Insanity home work out and doing karaoke.
Alfred spends his free time surfing the net and his favorite websites are Google, Facebook, YouTube and Apple. He's another iPhone user.
Yan - Web System Developer

Yan is a bit of a Super Hero at GetOn.com Marketing. While he doesn't regulary wear a cape to work, he does imagine that as he's learning a new skill or working on a project that his role is helping him swoop in to save the day. He is a problem solver and enjoys working toward a solution that will satisfy all. Like most good super heroes, Yan enjoys working together as a team to produce exciting, functional, Search Engine Friendly websites that result in qualified traffic, leads and conversions.
In fact, ask him what his favorite part of the job is and he will tell you just that. He loves working with skilled people and enjoys learning things from them.
When Yan is not at work he enjoys surfing the net, likes to play StarCraftII, and reads tech blogs and books in his spare time.
Yan is another Apple iPhone user. He also enjoys visiting gizmodo.com, engadget.com and amazon.com.
Technical / Hosting
Ken - Systems Administrator
Ken keeps our family of computers, networks and websites up and running. He has 15 years of Advanced Networking experience and is basically, well ... he's our office Hero or God if you will. He's a pinch hitter. In other words, he's the one we/you call when you need help in a pinch. It goes without saying that the questions he's asked most are "What's my password?" and "Help! My email isn't working. Can you fix it?"
Ken enjoys staying up to date with all the latest and greatest computer systems and applications. While Ken is more than fluent in Windows and PCs, he's a Mac-guy at heart.
When Ken isn't working he enjoys golfing, skiing, camping and fishing.
