Recently, myself and a couple of my co-workers at GetOn.com made a trip to Osoyoos, BC to visit our clients at the Watermark Beach Resort. We work with Watermark on their Internet Marketing and it was fabulous to spend a couple days at the resort while talking strategy and business. Plus, we got to see first hand everything the resort and the town have to offer.
Getting to Watermark Beach Resort is easy! It is a scenic drive from Kelowna, passing through Okanagan wine country. We stopped at The Sonora Room at The Burrowing Owl Winery for lunch and enjoyed our meal while overlooking the valley, the vineyards and the pool. Our lunch was absolutely perfect. The server sold us all on the mushroom soup of the day. The way she described the soup would make someone who didn’t even like mushrooms want to order it. The soup, the rest of the meal and the wine did not disappoint.
We got to Osoyoos shortly after lunch. The Watermark Beach Resort is located in the heart of the town, directly off Main Street and right on the beach. One look out the windows from our rooms and we knew we were in paradise. With warm sun, a beautiful lake, immaculate grounds and a luxurious bed life doesn’t get much better than a visit here.
We enjoyed our dinner at The Wine Bar with the Watermark team. We learned a lot about Watermark, they learned a lot about us, and we got to taste some fantastic cuisine and wine as well. It’s easy to see why foodies and wine connoisseurs would come to Osoyoos, and a stay at Watermark or a stop at the Wine Bar is not to be missed.
One of the many great features of the resort is its close proximity to downtown Osoyoos. The downtown core has little surprises every step of the way. After waking up to the smell of fresh cut grass and the sound of a hummingbird at our window, we finally crawled out of bed and made our way up Main Street. We enjoyed our coffee and breakfast at doLci Artisan Fare, did a little shopping and loved the friendly service and stylish items at 85th Boutique, visited the Illumination Spa, and then lunched at the Pub across the street.
We only touched on the attractions and hidden gems that surround the resort but we all left saying that we couldn’t wait to come back to explore the resort and the town some more!
Hats off to our friends at Watermark for providing us with such a welcoming stay and allowing us the chance to discover Osoyoos!
Now back to work we go …
